Tapas in Sóller, made for sharing

Home-cooked, made to share, no rush. Croquettes, bravas and Mallorcan cocas by the irrigation channel, away from the bustle.

Tapas in Sóller

Between Sóller and Biniaraix, there is a spot worth stopping at to share some tapas.

We are in Sóller, in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana: a shaded terrace, a cool irrigation channel running alongside and all the time in the world. For us, going for tapas is not about selling dishes; it is about getting together with friends or family, sharing some bravas, home-made croquettes and Mallorcan cocas, and spending time in good company. Whether you are coming down from a walk through the Barranc de Biniaraix or heading on towards Biniaraix or Fornalutx, our terrace is the perfect stop to recharge and raise a glass to the day.

Sobrasada coca with caramelised onion and pomegranate, made with xeixa flour

Homemade flatbreads (cocas) with Xeixa flour

Xeixa is an ancient variety of Mallorcan wheat that nearly died out, and one we have brought back here. We use its flour to bake thin, crispy cocas: one with escalivada and Mahón cheese, and another with sobrasada, caramelised onion and a hint of fruit. Mallorca in a bite, made to share.

FAQ

Everything about our tapas

Is there parking near the bar?

Yes, and you have two options. The most convenient is the public car park in Sóller (next to IES Guillem Colom Casasnoves), a few minutes' walk from the bar. Given the road conditions and the Low Emission Zone (LEZ), we recommend leaving your car there and walking down. Right next to Bar Molino there is also a small free car park beside a little park where children can play next to the cool irrigation channel. The road in naturally brings you to it, but it tends to fill up, so treat it as a backup. There is usually free parking further up and on the side streets too.

Do you have gluten-free or allergy-friendly options?

We have some tapas and dishes that can be adapted for people with intolerances, but we are not a fully gluten-free kitchen. If you are coeliac or have an allergy, please let us know as soon as you arrive and we will walk you through the best options and what adjustments we can make. We would rather be upfront and help you choose well before you order.

Do you only serve tapas, or do you also have main courses?

Going for tapas at Bar Molino goes beyond the menu: you can come in the afternoon to share tapas at your own pace, catch a World Cup 2026 match or have a full meal before moving on. Alongside the tapas, we have a menu of main courses including lamb shoulder, salads, homemade pesto, Penang curry and duck magret, and our speciality: mixed paella, made to order with fresh ingredients.

Which are your most special tapas?

If it is your first time having tapas with us, start with the patatas bravas, the mixed home-made croquettes and the cocas made with xeixa flour, that ancient Mallorcan wheat variety we have revived here. The dishes people keep coming back for include the garlic prawns, Andalusian-style fried squid, Korean-style chicken wings and the taco leaf with king prawn, kimchi mayo and coriander. That is already a great spread to share.

Do you serve craft beer from Sóller?

Yes. We serve Sullerica, the craft beer Guillem brews right here in Sóller. We usually have all its varieties: Original, Fosca, Blanca, 1561 and Valenta Dona, each with its own character. A Sóller beer to go with tapas in Sóller: there is no more local pairing. You can discover them at Sullerica.
